Non-dom taxation

This non-dom tax debate always misses the point. Is it fair that a foreigner should live in the UK and avoid paying UK tax on his foreign earnings, whereas a British citizen living in the UK has to declare all his earnings abroad and may be subject to UK taxation? We had all the furore about the Archbishop suggesting one law for Muslims and another for the rest and there was uproar. This is the same thing and it’s actually been law for some time. One law for foreigners and a different one for the rest of us. If the great and good think non-doms should not pay UK tax on foreign earnings then the same has to apply to the rest of us.
